Finial Solid
I have recently purchased a tilt-top dining table – solid cherry – has ceramic castors – any idea of age?
It has beautiful base with large finial in center bottom.
Are you sure this is a dining table? Tilt-tops were usually occasional tables; drop-leafs were dining tables. At any rate, walnut was high-end through 1920, oak more popular after that, but cherry? And ceramic casters? If I had to guess, I’d put it around 1930. I wish I could see a picture of it. I sounds absolutely beautiful.
